Seven Oaks Recreation Center

TENNIS INFORMATION

ALL MEMBERS MUST SIGN UP FOR THEIR COURT AT THE PRO SHOP "COURT BOARD" AND FOLLOW THE POSTED GUIDELINES. IF YOU ARE NOT SIGNED IN ON THE COURTBOARD AT THE PRO SHOP, YOU ARE NOT OFFICIALLY ON THAT COURT AND CAN BE BUMPED! ALSO, YOU MUST NOTE THE TIME YOU SIGN UP FOR YOUR COURT ON THE BOARD.

RULES AND REGULATIONS -- Courts open 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tennis shoes and shirts are REQUIRED. Bathing suits are not allowed. Team matches, tournaments, group lessons, and special events sponsored by the Club will have priority on the courts.

Adults (21 years old and over) have priority on the courts after 6:00 p.m. weekdays and until noon on weekends and holidays.

A junior playing with an adult has equal priority to an "all-adult" match.

Doubles and Singles play is limited to one hour when players are waiting. If all courts are full when you arrive with your partner(s), you may bump the court that has played the longest (give them the one hour minimum). Sign   in & "bump" with courtesy!

Members must register any and all guests at the Pro Shop and pay the appropriate guest fee(s) ($5.00). Those inside a 25-mile radius may play as guests at Seven Oaks only once per week.

Lighted courts are available on a "first come, first to serve" basis until 10:00 p.m. Turn off all lights upon departure, if you are the last to leave. Please register at the Pro Shop and sign up for your court. Last group on the soft courts are to drag and line courts for next A.M. play.

No in-line skates, rollerskates, skateboards, bicycles, or ball games of other types are allowed on the tennis courts or on the sidewalks between the courts.

No dogs on or around the tennis courts.

No unattended children on or around the tennis courts.

ON COURT GUIDELINES -- You must play in smooth soled tennis shoes on the soft courts. No running, crosstrainers, cleated or nubbed bottoms are permitted. No basketball or similar shoes with large suction cups or uneven soles are allowed. Staff will determine if a shoe is appropriate. Members must ensure their guests have appropriate shoes before playing on the soft courts.

You may broom and line soft court before you play, if you wish.

Relinquish your court promptly when being "bumped" by the next group.

Please repair any major breaks in the court surface after the point is completed. Quick stops or changes of direction occasionally cause these but create no harm if they are carefully replaced before the displaced material dries.

Adults have priority on the soft courts at all times. Juniors may sign for empty soft courts by putting "Junior" on the court board. Juniors have equal priority on the hard courts until 6pm weekdays and after 12:00 noon on weekends and holidays.

Help Us Police Our Club! Sadly, we still have vandals that deface and cripple our club. If you get "that feeling" about individuals around the courts that appear to be there for reasons other than tennis, please notify staff. Unfortunately we must also report several cars have been broken into and purses stolen. Take your valuables with you or lock them in your trunk.

No partner required ...... just show up! If you would like to help orchestrate this "low stress" gathering, call Jack at the pro shop (848-9928).
