SHOA Minutes for 1/13/02

The Stonehenge Board meeting was held on January 13, 2003 at the Sarver home, those in attendance include David Smith, Renee Sarver, Diane Lahti, and Brittany Walls.

The Board will continue to meet the second Monday of the month.  The board elected the following new officers:

v     President – Renee Sarver

v     VP- David Smith

v     Treasurer/Membership - Brittany Walls –Secretary – Floating

v     Newsletter – Brittany Walls and Renee Sarver are willing to work on the newsletter.

Renee Sarver will be the contact person for receiving articles.

David will check with Don Collum to see what his involvement will be with the SHOA for 2003.  Diane Lahti and Sharon Miller will continue their involvement with the board.

Directory

The directory needs to be audited and updated. Mike Meyers mentioned (via email) a website that we can use to find all of the house numbers on a given street.   Brittany also suggested using whitepages.com.

Toby will follow up with Mike M. for a process for doing the audit.  At a later meeting we will split up the work of actually doing it.

Treasurer’s report

Brittany will talk with Nancy Ritter about obtaining the membership database.

We have two accounts at Wachovia.

v     Our CD just renewed for 180 days at 1.09% for $6378.37.

v     Our Checking account has a balance of $9561.44.

It has been noted that the HOA has a large amount of cash on hand.  Some ideas for how the money can be spent include:

v     Hire someone to clean up the trash in the neighborhood

v     Pay a nominal fee to neighborhood kids and/or unemployed for jobs in the neighborhood

v     Community Watch signs.

v     Replace the flags.

v     Rent a clubhouse for a party.

We will continue to discuss how to use these resources to better the Stonehenge community.  It was determined that last year’s idea of spending the money on lighting the signs at the Stonehenge entrances was too costly and difficult to implement.
