SHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MINUTES
MARCH 2000
We will be having a meeting of the board of the Stonehenge Homeowner's
Association on Monday, April 24 at 7:30 at the Stonehenge Apartments
Clubhouse. We need to discuss landscaping changes, the Stonehenge
website, and a pool party. Hope you will be able to attend. Please
respond to Wray Gillette regarding whether or not you can attend.
Thanks.
Minutes of the 3/27/00 Board Meeting
Persons in attendance:
Wray Gillette, Sharon LeDuc, Laurie Olin, David Smith, Sharon Miller,
Diane Lahti, Tommy Sherbert, Beth Sherbert
A discussion was held regarding the need to inform Stonehenge residents
regarding how the Stonehenge dues are spent. The need for a budget was
discussed. The treasurer reminded us that we need to decide on social
events before we can budget funds for them. The treasurer promised to
submit an article on the budget to be published in the next newsletter.
David Smith reported that 1223 bales of pinestraw were sold through 75
orders.
Wray Gillette reported that his wife had spoken to managers of the pool
and was told that the pool would no longer let us hold parties before or
after official pool opening and closing dates. A discussion was held
regarding whether we should plan a party for June 9 or 10th. A query
was raised about whether or not we could reserve the pool with the slide
for a party. Wray said his wife Sheri would get more information and we
would make this decision at the next meeting.
Evelyn Pizzolato has volunteered to do the yard sale on May 13. Last
year's budget for this event was $62.68. Laurie said that she can run
copies of maps if needed and suggested that an e-mail response offer be
given.
Laurie said that she needs more carriers to deliver newsletters. It was
suggested that this need be advertised in the next newsletter and the
website.
Laurie said the the Lake Lynn Community Center has a very inexpensive
rental fee if we want to plan an event there.
Diane updated the group on Steve Boase's progress with the Stonehenge
website. She shared the proposed site map with the group. A discussion
was held regarding whether the site should have password protection.
Sharon stated her opinion that there was probably no need for a lot of
extra features on the website. The opinion was expressed that we should
plan for possible growth when determining how to develop the website.
The group discussed three cost options related to site features and
preferred the middle cost option which allows us to develop our own
format but does not have password protection.
The following suggestions were made regarding content for the
newsletter/website:
1. Article regarding protective covenant questions-where to go for help
2. Article regarding yard care-Laurie to check sources for article
3. Yard sale article
4. Budget article
5. Website article
Diane said there is a need to refurbish signage. Sharon LeDuc, David
Smith, Sharon Miller, and Tommy Sherbert volunteered to help. (Note: I
would like to do this the weekend of April 28-30, starting at
approximately 9 a.m.)
Next board meetings:
April 24
May 22
All meetings are at 7:30 at the Stonehenge Apartments clubhouse.
Note: After the meeting adjourned, an e-mail poll was taken regarding
website names. The name Stonehengeliving.com received the most votes
and is now our official website name.
Respectfully submitted,
Diane Lahti
