SHA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MINUTES
OCTOBER 2001

Minutes of the October, 2001 Meeting.

The October board meeting was held at Sharon Miller's house. Those in attendance were Wray Gillette, Sharon Miller, Sharon LeDuc, John Olin, Eileen Francis, and Diane Lahti.

Sharon LeDuc announced that she has arranged for Sheila Brewer to serve as landscape coordinator for the Stonehenge signs. She passed out a statement showing amounts to be paid and persons responsible for each sign. A budget of $400 per year per sign was approved by a vote.

Diane stated that we need to be taking pictures of neighborhood events to be used in the next directory. Fran Johnson sent in a report that she has had several responses to her efforts to get a seniors group going in the neighborhood.

Diane introduced the guest speaker, Leo Hoarty. Leo will be managing the directory project next year. Leo will assume all labor and expense of assembling the directory in return for the advertising revenue he collects. He asks that the board and homeowners help him with soliciting data and editing the database. Leo also requested that we supply him with a written letter which says that we will sponsor the directory and distribute it to all residents of Stonehenge. He says that this letter will be useful to him in advertisement solicitation. Leo anticipates that he will start the project in January and complete it by April or May. A survey form needs to be sent to Stonehenge residents in January. Thirty days are required from the last submission of data for publication to the date the directory will be ready for distribution. Numerous questions were asked of Leo regarding advertising rates and revenues. It was stated that the handling of the advertising reveneue was entirely up to Leo since he assumes all risk of loss. We were reminded that the directory costs us nothing. In the past, the job of putting together the directory was very labor-intensive and expensive.

The meeting was adjourned at 9 pm.
